Details: Ryzen 7 3700X with RTX 3070, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 650W power supply. Issue: While playing most games, the performance drops to around 1 FPS, then jumps and falls back to normal every few minutes. A hardware monitor shows GPU usage at 0% during these drops. I've updated drivers, disabled shadowplay and game mode, but nothing resolved it. Need advice.

What motherboard are you running? Which cooling solution works best for you? Have you checked temperatures during idle and under stress? Are your games stored on an SSD? What insights does Hard Disk Sentinel provide regarding drive condition?

Also consider increasing the clock speed, updating the thermal paste, reviewing background applications for resource usage, scanning for potential malware, and reinstalling the newest drivers using DDU.

I'm using a Biostar B550MH board with the standard AMD Wraith cooler. I haven't checked the temperatures. The games I tried ran on two different SSDs—NVMe and SATA—and both had the same issue. Hard Disk Sentinel reports the drives are fine.

Check if the board is V6.0 or V6.1 via the provided link. Review the most recent BIOS updates for November 2022. Obtain the latest AMD chipset drivers from AMD sources. Track temperatures using HWInfo64 or HWMonitor.
