Hi, I purchased a GT 1030 graphics card previously (I had a GT 210). I upgraded from Core 2 Duo E7500 to a used Core 2 Quad Q9550. I noticed the temperature is around 80°C, which is above the maximum allowed for Core 2 Quad on Intel's site (71°C). After that, I observed significant performance drops in games—something like CS GO at 720p where everything ran at about 100 FPS then dropped to around 5 FPS. Other titles also suffered. I’m curious about what might be causing this issue.

P.S.: My system specs are: 4GB RAM, GT 1030, Core 2 Quad Q9550, M.UI G41M-P26, MSI G41M-P26 MB, and a 500W power supply (though it's actually around 350W). The monitor is 1080p.

It could be related to RAM; consider checking the RAM usage while playing, as 4GB isn't much, particularly on Windows 10.

it's not the RAM. the CS goes FPS between 75 and 30, which isn't 100 fps.
