The only reason they’d remove it is because V-sync restricts the frame rate to match your monitor’s refresh rate, and if your GPU struggles to maintain over 60 frames per second continuously it can lead to problems. The 1070 offers solid performance for 1080p and 1440p, and turning off V-sync usually resolves frame drop issues.
