I recently experienced frame drops in valorant causing my game to lag, even after capping the framerate and using rivatuner. I’m unsure what else might be contributing to the performance issues. Could the budget PSU and insufficient airflow in the case be affecting my setup? My current specs are:

Mobo: B450 MSI Pro m2 max (bios updated)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3200MHZ
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super
Cooling: NZXT Kraken X53
PSU: Aero MPC-Power Silent 650W
Storage: SSD 480GB EMTEC
HDD: 2TB Seagate BarraCuda

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Are you using the B450 MSI Pro m2 max (bios updated already)?
Which BIOS version do you have installed on your motherboard?
What operating system are you running? If you're using Windows 10, please specify the version number instead of the edition.
Could the budget power supply and poor airflow in the case influence performance?
Yes, it might. You haven't provided the make and model of your case or the fan orientation inside it.
Have you considered using DDU to clear all GPU drivers from your system and then reinstalling them via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator? Make sure to use the latest drivers from Nvidia's support site.

the BIOS version is 7B84vAF, but after updating I noticed a minor graphical issue—kind of a small black box problem.
it’s similar to a tiny little black box.
i’m running a custom iso of windows 10 20h2 (OS Build 19042.631).
the case is really quiet! i’ve installed the 240mm AIO in the front, added two more fans on top and one at the back.
i downloaded my driver through NVCleanInstall, which is the latest version.
i might try reinstalling it using DDU if needed.

There is another BIOS version awaiting an update. Your operating system should also be updated, as we've been running on 21H2 for a considerable time (almost a year). After that, reinstall the GPU drivers following the DDU steps.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to push it into a beta version since it could be unstable. I might give it another shot. The front ones seem to be drawing in air while the top and back ones are expelling it.

The beta version includes the enhanced A.G.E.S.A code, which seems to be the standard for other manufacturers.
