While playing Minecraft I tried to check the frame rate, and I noticed it didn’t exceed 60 FPS even after enabling the display option. It’s strange since I didn’t use V-Sync and set the FPS limiter to unlimited. The same issue appeared in other games like Half-Life 2, Halo Combat Evolved, and more. My system specs are: Intel Celeron N3060 at 1.6GHz, Intel HD graphics 400, 4GB DDR3 RAM at 1066MHz, and a slow 1TB HDD. I looked through the drivers but didn’t find anything helpful.

Intel often saves power on their IGPs by adjusting drivers, though this feature may not have been updated recently. It’s likely limited for very basic hardware.

All settings are set to maximum performance and there’s no FPS cap in the drivers. It seems like a month or longer ago there was no limit. The issue could be related to the recent driver update.

This version limits performance to 60 frames per second, Java remains uncertain.
