Make sure you click the quote button on my post when you reply. In Origin, right-click on Battlefield 3 and choose Repair game. It may take a while.

I fixed the game, reinstalled it, but the issue persists—FPS drops still occur. I’m still unsure what’s causing the problem.

Which antivirus software are you employing? If Norton is installed, it might be consuming excessive system resources unexpectedly.
