It requires a significant amount of time, often years rather than months. CS bots seem like a great option for steady practice. This helps maintain my abilities. Edit: I should note that consistency matters a lot. Ensure your mouse settings are uniform across all games.

Excel in your setup with solid hardware—GPU, CPU, monitor, and adjustable settings. Maintain a strong aim without relying on shortcuts. Adjust controls to suit you, avoid using WASD tricks or fxaa/vsync improperly. Configure QoS on your router for smoother gameplay. Compete with skilled players, learn spawn patterns, and use your HUD effectively. Try teamwork by letting teammates assist when under fire. Stay focused—don’t hack. In MW3 Domination, look for BrimStone; in Ghosts Squads/Extinction, find BustyBrenda (me too!).

Playing Unreal Tournament for extended periods boosted my average FPS performance in shooters, though CS stands out as an exception demanding exceptional talent, useful mainly within that game.

Progress requires time and dedication. The quickest method to sharpen reflexes and accuracy is through TDM-style games and specific game modes. Choose the one that appeals to you most and adjust settings in other titles to match that experience. Enhance your understanding of maps and your awareness of the environment. Discover your unique playing style. Various games support different approaches, offering higher precision with less expertise. For example, BF3/4 vehicles provide specific challenges. The best advice is to join a suitable group. This applies to all first-person shooters as well. In a group setting, ensure someone consistently monitors your back. It simplifies spotting opponents and reduces surprises. Additionally, unless the group consists mainly of inexperienced players, they will assign easier targets and assist when things go wrong.

Battlefront and COD offer a completely different experience compared to Battlefield. Battlefront was designed to be more accessible, but it often involves repeated losses. Spawns in Call of Duty can mimic this pattern, with enemies appearing behind you shortly after spawning. Battlefield 3 and 4 provide a more balanced approach, making it easier to secure kills while reducing the risk of dying. I tend to prefer COD/SWBF for a more relaxed playstyle, especially in BF4 where the pace is less intense.

I don't focus on BF, I just play around for fun. I've got over 2 KDR and more than 700 SPM in BF3 while talking about anyone being good if they just aim and shoot. In BF4 my stats are a bit lower, maybe because I've played less than 100 hours of it.

My Point was... they approach shooting and mechanics quite differently, which affects the overall experience. If you excel at one, it doesn’t guarantee success in the others—each game requires its own learning curve. A helpful suggestion for one might not apply elsewhere, so you’ll need to master every title individually.

Start with regular drills. Improve your hand-eye coordination and reflexes. Success varies by game; I usually lose in Halo, Gears, or War but win in CoD (3+ damage). CS GO is solid too, though I’ll stop bragging. Focus on practicing and learning. Time to play is limited—if you challenge me 1v1 from high school or college, I might not be ready.
