Hello there! I'm not entirely sure if this is the best forum for this topic, but it seems to be about gaming, so I think it's a good fit. A few days ago, I replaced my SSD and CPU cooler with someone who has a lot of experience. I asked them to reinstall Windows onto the new SSD, and they did that successfully. The PC started booting much faster and ran much cooler, which made me really happy with their work. After that, I downloaded Steam and CS:GO, and when I launched the game, I noticed my FPS wasn't very stable—it dropped a lot. In a match, I would reach 30 frames per second while in combat, but then the PC would freeze and restart after about 30 seconds. I updated my drivers, and all my hardware seems to be functioning properly now. I've been able to run CS:GO at around 150-250 FPS with very high settings without any issues so far. If anyone can help me fix this problem, that would be really appreciated. I also have some system specs and configurations that might be useful.

Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you can help when you can.

P.S. My PC doesn't overheat, and the FPS drops occur in many games, even ROBLOX...

Your CPU performance isn't exceptional, yet this shouldn't be the cause of these issues. Do games use SSDs or HDDs?

All of them are stored on the HDD. I attempted to run a deatchmatch today, but my maximum FPS was 100 and the lowest was 30. I usually lowered it to 40, but it was difficult to play that way.

If you have room, consider shifting the most frequently used games to an SSD. It's strange that you're facing bottleneck problems now rather than after upgrading your GPU.

I attempted to play ROBLOX, which should be stored on the C Disk (SSD). I usually got about 60 fps, but it would occasionally drop to around 30 every 10 seconds. Since this is ROBLOX, I don’t know why this is happening. I’ll check CS:GO during transfers.

Something is eating performance if drops are that kind of constant and not related to what is happening on screen.

I looked into the task manager and saw ROBLOX was the main CPU user, though it was only around 30-40%, which feels a bit too low. Is that correct?
EDIT: Now I noticed my Windows antivirus is using 13%, which seems high for an antivirus.

I haven't played that game before, so I'm unsure if it would require more from the GPU or CPU. CSGO tends to be CPU-intensive.

There are no other options left. Consider alternative solutions.

Take it back to the techie,...
Clarify what happened...
After getting it back, the system ran smoothly and quickly when booting, which was perfect for an upgrade.
But there were issues—GPU performance was seriously affected by the software or Windows setup, making games run much slower.
The Windows update worked fine, but the games didn’t perform as expected.
He won’t be pleased with this, given his expertise, and should be able to resolve it for you. It’s not worth the cost since the first upgrade didn’t meet its promises.
