PC performance drops significantly when multitasking or playing games. Please assist!
Current configuration: I7 9700k CPU, Nvidia 2070 Super GPU, 32 GB RAM.
Recently I experienced a problem after waking up from sleep mode—lost Ethernet connection. In the control panel it showed: Intel® Ethernet Connection (7) 1219. I had internet access and tried standard fixes: unplugged both Ethernet ports and reset the modem/router, then restarted the PC. After that, I reinstalled all drivers but still encountered errors. Eventually, the computer shut down randomly, and once I powered it back on, the Ethernet issue disappeared.
While playing games, I noticed extremely slow input responses from Windows and very low frame rates (12–20 FPS). Graphics settings were set to minimum; previously I achieved 140–240 FPS during multitasking. GPU temperature was normal, usage stayed at 10% due to low settings. CPU temperature wasn’t high, but its speed was only 1.2GHz compared to the base 3.6GHz.
I reset the entire PC and continued facing these problems. Are these symptoms connected? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I wanted to note that during the FPS issue in games, I was not multitasking—only one game was running at a time.

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide detailed system information. Please list the following like this:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU, excluding its make and model. How is the processor being cooled?
BIOS version for your motherboard at this time?

Sorry, I don’t have all the details because I’m still learning about PC components. What I know is this.
