The Media Feature pack shouldn't significantly impact the system. Using ShadowPlay for loop recording and saving occasionally might cause minor performance changes, though it shouldn't be a major issue here.

Could the delay be due to FPS staying stuck at 200 in Fortnite while everything else runs sluggishly? It seems like certain actions might play in slow motion, making things feel delayed.

Poor frame rates occur due to input delay or minor stuttering

Hello! Your PC was restarted yesterday but the FPS remains at 200 in Fortnite, which isn’t smooth. I’m not sure if a system reset should fix this issue. Could you share more details about what happened after the reset?

Verify your RAM and video card VRAM consumption while gaming. If performance remains stable at first but gradually declines, it may indicate excessive memory usage, forcing the system to rely on the page file, which can cause noticeable slowdowns.

You're asking how to install something specific without much computer experience. Since you're familiar with building PCs and installing Windows, you likely already know the basics. For tools like MSSI Afterburner or Rivatuner, check official websites or trusted forums for setup guides. Focus on general steps first, then dive into details as needed.

Afterburner provides detailed insights, making it useful for monitoring. Simply press Alt+Tabbing in-game to open Task Manager, then check the Performance section to see your RAM usage.

PC restarting alone seldom fixes the issue; I’m sure you tried disabling things in Windows as advised. Riva Tuner plus MSI Afterburner can help verify hardware performance problems. Regarding multiple monitors with varying refresh rates—like 60Hz, 75Hz, 100Hz, etc.—do you have such a configuration?

I confirmed my PC was fully reset after four hours. There were sector issues on the HDD which I resolved, then installed Windows 10 Home. After that, I applied all updates, updated graphics and motherboard drivers, and verified everything was current. I turned off fast startup, game bar, game DVD mode, and game mode settings. Adjusted NVIDIA preferences in Fortnite for optimal performance, and used a 60Hz monitor.

I’ve checked the task manager and my GPU usage in-game is at 100%, yet I haven’t noticed any unusual memory consumption during Fortnite or other games. I’ll review my memory stats later today. Your in-game GPU temperature is 70°C—this is within the normal range, so it shouldn’t be a concern unless you’re experiencing heat issues.
