Ex-mining GPUs can be satisfactory, it depends on the original model and the miner's skill. If it were an AIB 580 in the hands of a skilled miner who maintains his GPUs and ensures the BIOS is updated before shipping, along with stable performance, it's fine.

On the other hand, a Yeston/Chinese brand RX 580 in the hands of someone who pushes it to its thermal limits in a hot environment, with incorrect BIOS updates, may lead to unpredictable behavior, possibly refusing to work with standard AMD drivers.

I’ve also heard of a Yeston RX 580 functioning perfectly after mining, provided the seller was careful and did not alter the BIOS. It performs just like the original RX 580.
