FPS constantly drops to 1-5 and raises back to normal
Hello everyone,
I've been having a problem with playing certain games that I could play with absolutely no problems before. I've already tried switching to a new PSU if that was causing the problem, but there was no difference. I also completely reinstalled windows and that made no difference. I don't know how to explain the FPS drops, so I made a quick video to show you. I used Overwatch on max graphics for example, because I know for sure that it was running at a smooth 100 FPS before this problem started occuring.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
That's a good breakdown! It effectively rephrases the original text while maintaining the core ideas.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, focusing on clarity and flow:
The cooling system is struggling to keep up with the demands of the CPU. While the stock Intel cooler manages to maintain temperatures around 60°C under load, the CPU itself consistently reaches scorching highs of up to 90°C. This rapid heat buildup likely triggers thermal throttling, limiting performance. Furthermore, when gaming and making calls simultaneously, the system experiences noticeable frame drops accompanied by buzzing sounds from the microphone – a phenomenon often linked to fluctuating FPS. The author believes upgrading the cooler is necessary to mitigate these issues.

The
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility
will tell you if you have any throttling ... at least it use to ... I have not used it in a while.
