I play CS:GO and usually see around 230-240 FPS. After installing Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, my FPS dropped to 60 in all windowed display settings. I'm checking if a fix exists or if others face the same issue. I've also set FPS max to unlimited and turned off v-sync. Help would be appreciated.

No, the issue isn't limited to CS or other games; it can affect various platforms as well.

I haven't played it in other games I'm not currently at home, but I'll be there in about 30 minutes. I'll get back to you soon.

Sure, if similar features exist in other titles, verify the Nvidia Control Panel settings and ensure Vsync is turned off. If it only activates in CSGO, add the game to the panel and disable Vsync there. Also, toggle Vsync on within CSGO, save changes, and then revert it back to confirm it’s off. In my case, I need to press Alt+Tab at startup since the game caps it at 72 fps on a 144Hz display, which unlocks it.

I followed all your advice recently. GTA 5 and CS:GO function properly. I checked the NVIDIA control panel, disabling both global and CS:GO settings. Then I adjusted the game to use a windowed display. It seems I’m playing in a windowed mode now.

It restricts the frame per second to match the screen's refresh rate. Fullscreen grants access. Your description appears reversed.

I thought it was the opposite too. Now I’m starting to question if there’s another issue with the data. Don’t forget to check for anything else besides this. I’ll investigate further.

You need to power down the Xbox DVR, likely via the provided link.

The anniversary version seems to have different features. The previous link appears outdated, and some suggest it needs more than just removing the app. You might want to check the updated instructions.
