I joined the family at an arcade with the kids and wife. We tried 4-man VR, paying about $5 each person per round, which totaled $20. The experience was great for her since she’s prone to vertigo. This sparked my thoughts, leading me to think about the cost for everyone playing together at once. I’m considering options like buying a few pre-built systems or planning the space needed. So far, I have some ideas but don’t fully understand the details. What else should I think about?

You'll need a PC for every headset. The best approach is to pick a headset first and then create a setup around it. Likely the first step is to check which games interest you and see if it’s a good fit.

No, you won't require four distinct VR kits.

I hadn't considered tracking at all. It seems no system handles multiple headset configurations. The choices are clear: 1. Design four distinct room arrangements 2. Use headsets with built-in tracking. Option two looks like the best path forward.
