Found an unusual damp area on the underside of my motherboard.
I just got a brand new Asrock B450 Steel legend. I opened it up and everything seemed fine, but on the back side I noticed an unusual wet-looking area where I expected the VRM to be. Why is there that spot and should I worry? (Sorry for the poor photo—I took the best I could.)
Seems like some grease on your hands. Either way, it's not a big deal.

It appears as thermal pad grease. It often leaks from VRM and chipset coolers and can seep through tiny openings on the PCB to the opposite side.
