It seems like a tab, clip, or latch that may have detached. Usually used to secure the front bezel to the case properly. The design in that spot can be unstable. The front bezel might still fit without it, though it could work just fine. It's possible it was an extra component the builder or manufacturer overlooked during assembly—missing from quality checks. Is this a pre-made part?
Last time I took it apart, I couldn't determine its origin. I inspected all the cables and am certain it isn't from them or any of the motherboard connectors. There were no missing parts in the case either, but since everything is functioning properly, nothing seems loose. I guess I'll just accept it and stop searching.
