For those facing problems with the STEAM version of fh5, consider getting a refund and purchasing the game via the Xbox app. They use different launchers and sign-in methods, but the Xbox app/Windows Store version worked smoothly for me. Off topic, but if you're on a tight budget, the Xbox Game Pass costs just $1 for three months and gives access to fh5 and other titles.
