I run a FH4 demo and I want to make sure it runs well on my PC before I buy it. But no matter what, it keeps giving me an FH001 error message. For some reason, it works fine on my laptop which is even weaker. I have tried: Installing .net framework, openal, and XNA Framework redistributable 4.0. Refreshing CPU: Core i5-3570 (3rd gen). GPU: Radeon hd 7000 series (soon upgrading to gt1030). RAM: DDR3 1600mhz CL11 with 16gb. I have no idea what is causing this issue.

that error means you are missing some extra programs called redistributable libraries. usually, these come with the game when it is first installed. visual C++ x86 and x64 are needed here so you must install them https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/wi...w=msvc-160 by following that link to install both versions then check your graphics card driver to make sure it supports DX12. open the dxdiag tool, go to the display tab and make sure 3D DDI is set to 12 with a feature level of 11_0

that error means some missing game-related files. usually these come with the game software itself. You need to install Visual C++ x86/x64 first. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/wi...w=msvc-160 go ahead and do that. then check if your graphics card driver supports DirectX 12. open dxdiag, switch to the Display tab, see what it says about 3D DDI. It should be set to 12 with a feature level of 11_0.

I've already set up Visual Studio, but I'm not sure if my driver works with DirectX 12 and whether the graphics card supports that version. The driver version is 11.2 and the feature level is 11_0. Can I upgrade it or are we stuck just because of how hard the hardware is?

It's because of either being a specific driver or an operating system issue. DX12 needs the lowest possible system requirements, so I need to know what OS you're running and which driver version is installed.

I tested AMD drivers on my GTX 7000 series card to see if it works with DirectX 12, but the system doesn't support it unless you have at least an RX 7730.

What about the gtx 1030? It might work for you. I am on Windows 11 version 22h2, but my old graphics card is from before the 7730 series.

So I just need to wait for the update, then it will work right?

At a quality of 720p which has very little detail it will still work fine.
