I purchased this game yesterday, but after installation I encountered an error stating “this game is not currently available on your account.” After removing it, reinstalling became impossible due to a licensing failure during the acquisition step (code: 0x803F8001). I attempted to clear the Windows Store with WSReset and used the settings app. Since the game was bought through the store, I suspect the problem isn’t with the license. Are there other solutions besides returning the item?

It seems there might have been an issue with the payment. You can attempt to process a refund via the store or your credit card provider and retry.

Seems to be the optimal choice so far.

There isn’t a refund option available on the order history page in the Microsoft Store.

Review the discussion and JamesHolden3095’s reply, which indicate an issue originating from Microsoft.
