Hello,

Following extensive troubleshooting involving user guides and numerous videos regarding workarounds, I have been unable to properly play this game after purchasing a new computer. The game functioned correctly on my previous system with an MSI B150 Gaming M3 motherboard, Intel i5-6600K processor, Zotac GTX 1070 graphics card, and Kingston HyperX 16GB RAM.

Upgrading to an ASUS Prime Z390-A motherboard, Intel i5-9600K processor, ASUS RTX 2060 graphics card, and Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM has resulted in only splash videos and cutscenes producing sound, and the game consistently crashes after approximately five minutes of gameplay regardless of settings. My attempts to resolve this issue through multiple support tickets with Turn 10 have been unsuccessful, as response times for assistance can extend up to a month. Consequently, I am seeking solutions on other forums.

Concerning the audio problem, I utilize the onboard Crystal Sound 3, employing the Realtek S1220A codec with driver version 6.0.1.8507. Recommendations from the Forza community suggested disabling audio enhancements through the audio settings; however, this option is unavailable. Attempts to disable all audio effects via the Realtek Audio Console have proven ineffective.

Regarding the game crashes, I suspect a correlation with the audio issue and anticipate improved performance if the audio problem is resolved.

The power supply unit is a Corsair RM750X from 2018. Temperatures are ideal because no overclocking is performed. The computer successfully handles all tasks. Forza Horizon 4, however, does not function.

If one game is malfunctioning, it’s typically due to the driver or the game itself.

I am genuinely surprised. Upon initial reading, I chuckled slightly, almost dismissing it. However, I then considered it without reservation, as I had exhausted other options. THIS RESOLVED THE SOUND ISSUE! Is this a recognized solution for problems with Microsoft Store applications? I have not encountered this fix within the Forza community forums... Now, I anticipate that my crashing issues will also cease. I will observe its effects over the course of an hour tonight.

The game has operated flawlessly over the weekend, with no crashes or audio issues. The Skype workaround successfully resolved my problem. I trust this post will assist others experiencing similar difficulties. Thank you.
