Have you checked other titles to ensure rubber banding appears only in Fortnite? If yes, reach out to Epic Games for help fixing the issue on their servers or request a refund. It’s worth noting that the game is free to play.

I connect to the internet via an Ethernet cable. I wonder if reducing the viewing distance makes a difference.

Yes, you can check your connection usage in Task Manager during testing. This will help you track if you're using the bandwidth effectively.

You often encounter 3-10% packet loss on the site, especially during higher traffic. This might be related to network conditions.

Do you use a VDSL connection? The packet loss and ping seem elevated.

You probably think VDSL is quicker, but the results you're seeing on Ookla differ from what you experience in Forneite.

If you own Cox, you're likely using DOCSIS Cable service. (Unless they've changed plans.) Your speedtest appears solid with a 100mbps down and 10mbps up connection, plus a 9ms ping is fine. Using a hardwired Ethernet cable is ideal. In the task manager, network activity stays under 1%. Unless your PC is causing delays, it should be okay. Try running more intensive games online and offline to check for graphical lag. If only Fortnite causes issues, it suggests a problem between your home and Epic Games' servers. You'll need to reach out to them to fix the connection, as their servers might be the source.

Found information on the Cox website regarding the DSL issue. Also explored further by searching for "Fortnite Packet Loss Cox" and noticed many users report similar problems, though Cox acknowledges the issue but hasn't taken action. It seems you might need to rely on luck or switch ISPs to resolve it.
