I recently assembled a PC featuring a 4070, Ryzen 9 7900x, Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 board, G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2x16), Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB, NZXT Kraken 360 plus a NZXT C850 (2022) 850 W 80+ Gold power supply. I’m playing Fortnite normally, but I’m experiencing immediate lag with ping fluctuating between 60 and 500. Despite having a strong Wi-Fi connection, this shouldn’t happen. In Fortnite settings it’s set to 1440p initially, but switching to 1080p on a 1440p display resolves the issue instantly. Ping remains steady at 30 to 40 after switching.
