Nvidias latest drivers often cause issues with Fortnite, especially older versions. Crashes tend to happen around 522.25 and beyond, making the game unstable. Try using older Nvidia drivers or run the command `sfc /scannow` as an admin to check for corruption. If your system uses an SSD, the repair should be quicker. It’s possible the driver is the main cause—last year they updated drivers, so performance can vary. I’ve tested several drivers and found 522.25 to be the most reliable for Fortnite and Spider-Man without constant crashes. If you need a direct link, let me know.

I attempted a fairly old version (497.29) but the problem persists. It works with D3D11 and D2D12, and Nvidia seems to prefer the latest release. If you could share a link to that newer version, it would be very helpful. Also, the SFC mentioned everything is fine with my OS installation, so it might not be that issue.
