I asked my friend for assistance since my game becomes very choppy after a while—sometimes even after just 1 to 2 hours of play. He suggested checking my performance report in settings and mentioned it might be due to the low frame rate I usually see (around 8ms), which makes the game feel sluggish now. He also pointed out that my actual frame rate is much higher (around 200fps), but the reported value is 52. Anyone know how to lower the frame rate?

A lot of the issues seem to come from Fortnite's behavior when settings are adjusted. Generally, the game runs smoother at higher Epic settings, except for shadows where I keep them on high. Turning down the settings usually causes problems.

I'm focusing on the impact of MS rather than frame drops or other technical issues.

frames are easily matched with time in milliseconds, the steadier your frames per second, the more consistent your ms, and the greater the consistency in ms, the more fluid the gameplay feels
