Another issue occurred with me too—my Steam began installing an update, and my Fortnite play was really poor while I was in the middle of a match.
It was the RAM module for anyone confused. Fortnite really needs 32GB, and it works fine. The stuttering is mostly gone and memory use is around 18GB.
