Recently, while trying to play Doom, I ended up back on my desktop screen again, so I closed the app and tried playing it once more—this time no issues appeared. I attempted to conclude the task "Xtreme Tuner" and restart the process. It's Galax's GPU software, yet it's reasonable to assume it might be prioritizing itself. If that fails, what occurs when you launch Doom (2016) in windowed fullscreen mode? The option is available, as noted in the update from January 24, 2020 by Sfekke. Sentence correction and second troubleshooting step.
