I chose to upgrade my 3900x to a 5800x3D but forgot to refresh my BIOS for the new processor. I added some faster RAM and another 2TB NVMe SSD. After setting everything up, the diagnostic screen showed a yellow light that stayed red, pointing to a CPU issue. I realized I hadn’t updated the BIOS. I thought replacing the old parts would fix it, but the red warning persisted. I tried resetting CMOS, unplugging the battery, using just one RAM stick, and even removing the second SSD, but nothing resolved the problem.

Retrieve the outdated components, reset the CMOS, attempt again. Typically adding a fresh CPU and/or memory doesn't damage the motherboard. Verify the CPU placement on the pins.

All pins and sockets appear perfect based on my observation.

Turn off all unnecessary components for startup (hard drives, front panel connectors including the power switch, RGB controllers, etc.) and attempt again.

I've attempted to run it with the lowest settings mentioned in the initial comment; removed CMOS, disconnected the CMOS battery, used a RAM stick, etc., but it still powers on without showing any display. The diagnostic indicated a CPU error with a red status light.
