Hello, I just set up a feature in my BIOS named "Chassis Intrusion." Now, each time I power on the machine, it warns me that the case is open and asks me to close it before pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL to proceed. It displays a "Fatal Error" message. Despite this, my case remains fully closed—double and triple checked. I've tried booting into BIOS multiple times, but it keeps showing the same error screen even when I press the buttons repeatedly. I own an AMI motherboard with an Asus Tuf Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 ACPI BIOS, version 9901. I was thinking about removing my boot drive and forcing a BIOS update that way, but I didn’t want to risk damaging it. Any advice would be really helpful, and thank you for your time. (This is my first post on the forum, not sure what I’m doing)

Have you already tried resetting the CMOS? Check the first 16 pages of the motherboard manual. It seems the standard PC case lacks the embedded switch or sensor that opens the chassis for reset. Since it’s not present, your motherboard may assume the chassis is always open.

Reverting the CMOS settings is probably the most effective solution, but avoid turning that option back on again, haha.

I also completely overlooked CMOS, it functioned flawlessly. Thanks a lot!

Adjust your BIOS configuration to your standard settings, activate XMP support, set up fan curve preferences, and ensure optimal performance.
