Hello. I own a home server with Proxmox as the hypervisor and Truenas Scale running as a VM. Games are accessed via ISCSI block shares on a 2.5Gb network. On the gaming machine, I use a 1/2 TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD as a cache. I rely on this software for caching: https://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-cache/. This isn’t unique since others seem to be doing similar things. My gaming PC uses Windows 10/Linux dual boot, with Windows only for games. Linux for everything else. Next year Windows updates will stop, so upgrading to Windows 11 might be necessary for security. For gaming, DirectStorage offers advantages if I upgrade now. Currently, many games don’t support it, though this could change. Who is currently using Windows 11 with ISCSI cached via priocache? How effective is DirectStorage in practice? I came across this: https://kb.romexsoftware.com/en-us/2-pri...ectstorage
