Meh wine tends to be unstable, but the developers did a solid job. I’m stuck using Windows for gaming because some titles aren’t available there.

It varies by game. I rely on several titles via Wine that run smoothly without issues (Mass Effect series, Dawn of War, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed). With this update, games like Witcher 3 should be playable again (they were playable before at around 8fps on a 1070 with low settings). Perhaps in a few years Wine will prioritize bug fixes over new features, making everything work better.

It's true, some games performed better in Wine compared to their Linux versions. If improvements continue, I'd be glad to enjoy SC on it.
