Sure, here are some PC games that might be more accessible for people who aren't regular gamers. You can enjoy watching friends play them without needing to dive into your Steam library. It’s great to see you trying to help a friend get comfortable with a game like Half Life—sometimes the right setup makes all the difference!

I believe Brawlhalla is an excellent game to enjoy, and it's available for free.

Buy a gamepad, xbox thing ...
Celeste , Ori and the blind forest, they're fairly easy with easy learning curve
Trine .. nice to play in 2 or 3 ... it's
The Tomb Raider series is fairly easy ... pretty linear, just some quick time events, again easy to play with gamepad or whatever ... and it's visually beautiful
Get some co-op games like Bomberman or other games that can be played 1vs1  or 2-4 players together...
Maybe see Octopath Traveler i heard it's a great game with great story... though I think it's single player.
Maybe check Divinity Original Sin / Original Sin 2 ... great RPG ... can be done click mouse and some keypresses I think

Hi, thank you for your message. I'm not sure if there are any tough yet accessible games similar to Nintendo titles that match what you're looking for.

I gave you the suggestions you mentioned, though I didn't show any signs of recognizing them. Celestine, Trine, Cave Story+, Tomb Raider feature straightforward controls. Portal and Portal 2 are manageable, but some puzzles can be challenging. You might also explore Syberia and Syberia 2 – a point-and-click adventure/story with puzzles and object discovery.

I've reviewed all the messages in this discussion and examined them thoroughly. I decide not to engage with the specific titles since I don't have anything positive to say about them.
