Hello. Your GTX 1660 requires a CPU that matches its performance. Since your current CPU is an i5-7500, I suggest pairing it with an i5 or i7 processor to ensure balanced performance. Let me know if you need more details!

Not a major issue only in certain scenarios, it varies with the games you play. It relies on your budget, but having a model like Ryzen 5 2600 or Ryzen 5 3600 would be preferable if possible. Updated January 13, 2020 by noxdeouroboros

It doesn’t look like anything is getting stuck. The idea seems solid, so no upgrade seems needed. However, if you’re considering one, a 3600 Edited would be better since the previous info was incorrect. Updated January 13, 2020 by flashiling

It appears this CPU is exclusive to OEM suppliers and is available only through the Dell Alienware Aurora desktop.

Same setup: i7 6700, 6700K, 7700, 7700K new board. AM4 B450 + Ryzen 5 1600(AF), 2600X, 3600X or Ryzen 7 2700. If funds permit, consider Ryzen 7 3700X.

Are you wondering if multiple versions are essential? It's a good question to explore.

The 2600X is noticably stronger than the 2600 or 1600(AF). The X on the 3600X is a typo on my part, I meant to write without the X since there's almost no performance diference between the 3600 and 3600X when using the same cooler. On Zen and zen+ the X means a lot, on Zen2 it doesn't.
