Hello! Can you imagine playing GTA V at the highest resolution and frame rate possible with this configuration? I’m checking if it’s feasible to maintain steady 165+fps consistently. Your setup includes an i7 7700k, Aorus motherboard, Gigabyte GA-Z270X, ASUS GTX1080Ti, and a Master Storm cooler. You also have a SuperNOVA G2 850W PSU and a 2560x1440 monitor. Let’s see if it holds up!

Most standards estimate the GTX 1080 Ti achieves roughly 100 FPS in GTA V at very high settings (2560x1440). A note was added later that some scenes reach 144-160 FPS, though the overall average stays near 100-120.

In theory it would be most likely to achieve that, but the expense compared to the benefits isn't justified, particularly given the current prices. The leap from 60 to 100 is much more apparent than the increase from 100 to 144—while someone using a 144Hz monitor for three years might average around 90 at high settings, it doesn't justify the cost.

The review didn't succeed either. Although the tester used a standard i7-6700K, overall performance remained similar. It seems GTA V might be constrained by the CPU around 100 FPS on that hardware.

You're experiencing noticeable lag even though your system runs at 90 FPS. The screen occasionally freezes briefly, making gameplay feel unstable. This isn't smooth performance—stuttering seems to be the main issue.

Attempting to enable V-Sync often helps bring stability.

No, I didn't enable G-Sync in the settings.
