Hi all,
I plan to remove an old PC with a Q9550@stock speed and stock Intel cooler. I want to overclock it and extend its life, as this is my first experience with overclocking. I'm seeking the most affordable option, preferably a flat or low-profile setup since my case is small. I'm considering the Rosewill RXC-Z775 but unsure about its performance. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

The cooler doesn't offer much improvement over the original model. Consider the Raijintek Pallas or the more affordable SilverStone Argon AR06.

LGA775 isn't recognized by SilverStone, and Raijintek isn't available on Canadian sites

Even though "The Silent Ones" is preferable, the CM could also function.

The bequiet models run hotter in this test...

What I mentioned was that it isn't a major concern, but it seems to struggle under load.
Any other thoughts?

If you're in Canada, head over to Memory Express. They have around 30,775 units ready. Match your price to the lowest cost found online.

The temperatures there are really striking and I don't notice any vortex there.
