The next factor to verify is whether these VRMs come with a heat sink for AMD motherboards, as they are positioned around the CPU. This MSI model features 8+2 VRMs with a large heatsink. The gigabit model also has 8+2 VRMs and a decent heatsink. In my view, both options are comparable to using a single GPU with overclocking on an AM3+ motherboard. I would choose the one that suits me best.
