16GB isn't sufficient for Adobe Scratch. You should aim for at least 32GB, better still more, to avoid running short when you need it. The page file doesn't matter much, as Adobe manages its own caching.

You can purchase two units or store some on your boot drive. You wouldn't end up worse than your starting point.

Everything fits, but with your present CPU, 32 is ideal. However, 64 offers better performance in the long run. You might find deals from brands such as "Team" to cut costs.

I’m not sure about Windows, but I understand you can’t divide Adobe’s scratch disk on a Mac. When you launch a project file, it fully decompresses everything and saves it to the disk, making its size change often and disappearing when you close the app.

She might gain from a PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot similar to the 970 Pro. I’m a big supporter of Samsung products—they’ve worked well for me. I currently have 870s, 970s, and a few important MX500s across both systems.
