No, Windows isn't very user-friendly. Fedora also uses GNOME, so it's not the only option.

Not familiar with it, hasn't tried it before. Just learned it's designed to be user-friendly.

I usually choose LXDE or KDE for Linux. Right after installing an operating system, I start picking one based on the hardware and what's available in the distribution.

It's a strange issue. It seems to affect driving behavior, and there are other unusual reactions when using touch or generally interacting with the system.

Interesting, I reinstalled Ubuntu 17.10 and everything worked again... possibly the updates fixed it?
