I’m planning to place an order in early September and am unsure which operating system to choose. I saw on the MS website that you could make a bootable drive with Windows 10 to use on another computer, but is this only for systems running Windows 7/8 or can I still do it on a brand-new PC? If not, what alternative OS should I consider? Thanks ahead!

To get the latest version, you must buy a fresh Windows 10 edition if your current setup lacks 7/8.1.

For setting up on a brand-new PC, obtaining a Windows 10 license would be necessary. An alternative approach involves purchasing a Windows 8.1 key from Reddit, installing it, and then upgrading to Windows 10, which can save some costs.

Linux Dominance. For serious play, consider Windows or SteamOS; for efficiency, try Ubuntu, Linux Mint, or any Linux distribution.

If you purchased a Windows 7 key, it would likely function identically to a regular license.
