Hey, I'm looking to get a new motherboard for my OC rig. I have an Asus X370 Prime that stopped working, so I need advice. My current setup includes a GTX 1070, a Ryzen 5 1600, Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB at 3000MHz, and the RMA650i. Any suggestions?
The remaining assembly involves finalizing components and testing functionality.
I have a budget of 200€ and I'm based in Belgium. My setup includes a GTX1070, a Ryzen 1600, Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB at 3000MHz, and a Corsair RM650i.
Spoiler PCPartPicker selection list for motherboards. MSI B450-A PRO MAX ATX AM4 costs around €94.89 in Belgium with shipping and taxes. Alternate prices are listed. Total amounts range from €84 to €85 depending on the vendor. These boards should comfortably support a 1600 MHz processor.
the x series doesn't matter much; what's important is the real model. skip the x370 and x470 unless you locate a solid option at a fair price. otherwise, these boards can easily manage a 1600 without trouble.
