Absolutely, it's a great deal—something worth thinking about.

One should think carefully about a low-quality or aging power supply, similar to betting against the worth of the hardware it connects to. This device might have a warranty of 10 years (I believe so) and Corsair is known for reliability. However, even with that, the warranty only applies to the power supply itself—not the failing components.

Since a decent power supply costs around $100 plus or minus $25, why take on more than that risk?

If you’re starting cheaply and already own monitors, I’d likely consider something like a 3070/4060/6700XT model (used) to ensure the fourth generation runs at full capacity, then think about next steps. I’m not entirely sure if your system uses an SSD for that rig, but I’d definitely go ahead with that right away.

Seconded, my previous RMx passed away a year ago, in 2016. It performed well, the guy really did.
