The players with hardware under a Phenom II at 4.0ghz or C2Q at 3.8ghz face challenges... Their CPU usage stays between 78-97% across threads, yet performance remains acceptable for the 7770. It doesn’t suit smooth frame rates when paired with a top-tier GPU. @ Fatelinha
Phenom II at 3GHz keeps reaching my 7870 GHz (270X). With my 970 there’s a bottleneck, but I still achieve solid 60 at 1080p in high settings (though texture quality is fine, more concern lies with VRAM on the 970).
Absolutely not! I didn't expect such a problem with older processors.
Title seems off; folks will arrive just because of the promise... In reality, after 2GB VRAM in GTA5, the CPU might be the bottleneck. Based on what others say, Intel 2500K and later models should handle it without GPU strain. Higher-end GPUs usually mean more CPU demand, not always true.
