Folder size for Witcher 3 Complete (All DLC) varies by user.
Hello. I removed The Witcher 3 to free up space for other applications, but I'm interested in reinstalling it now. My storage is nearly full—only about 125GB left this month. The official specs say 35GB for the base game, 10GB for Hearts of Stone, and another 35GB for Blood and Wine. Considering the much larger size of the Blood and Wine DLC compared to the base game, I wasn't sure if this was a valid request. Could you help me determine the total size of your Witcher 3 installation, including all DLC and the latest update? Thanks, Aereldor.
This sounds accurate. Many of the blood and wine DLC features are fresh textures and models not present in the base game. It seems they aimed for better performance while keeping visual quality. I'm currently at work, but I checked my folder size and it looks reasonable—around 35GB total, including all DLC. Could be a bit higher.
Your file size will be around 35GB initially. Once it decompresses, the actual amount will increase significantly. You're probably concerned about how much space you'll end up using. I’d rather connect to my PC, but I’m currently on sleep mode because I didn’t need to access it this week. Taking a screenshot now isn’t feasible, haha.
Are you sure about the cost? 35 GB for the game plus both expansion DLCs? (The free DLCs are very small in size.) That sounds great—it's roughly half of what I thought. Maybe I'll manage to download the game and keep enough bandwidth for the rest of the month.
I'm sure. Below is a screenshot of your game folder size, covering all DLC and expansions.
Thanks for the info. It's really fascinating, especially considering it's significantly less than @Jade's collection.
