I was getting this massively in BF4 after the latest patch and Final Stand DLC release. It turns out that Origin In-game was causing the micro stuttering. I disabled Origin in-game completely and the stuttering disappeared. Is the Vanishing Of Ethan Carter on Origin?

Additionally, I haven't managed to find a resolution for this problem.

The 970 and 980 are facing significant issues, but NVidia is expected to resolve them soon—it shouldn't take much time.

Really? I haven’t heard anything about problems before. It seems like when my CPU threads slow down, my CPU usage increases. Someone in the forums mentioned this while assisting me. We thought it might be related to the CPU. I’m setting up a new system this weekend and would be upset if there were still issues (unless it’s the GPU). I’m still trying to identify the problems since I’ll be donating my old PC to a friend.

He’s experiencing performance issues with his 4770k, but his GPU and CPU aren’t limiting things. Others are facing the same issue too. It might be time to address it rather than keep waiting.

I was already planning on building a new PC anyways, my parts have all shipped. The black friday sales were good. My GPU doesn't go less than 99% on any other games than this, so I'm not sure this is an accurate game to measure. It's 99% in everything even with my current CPU. But don't you think the CPU spike has anything to do with the lag spikes? If it was the GPU why would the CPU spike like that?

I experience minor stuttering during the game, especially at the beginning after finishing the Space Man section and while moving past the train cars, and again when crossing the bridge. My issue feels more like a lag or delay rather than full stutters in your video. I'm using 980 SLI, 5820k @ 4.3 and 16GB DDR4. I think it might be a software-related problem since I have no issues with other titles like FC4, DA:I, Dear Esther and Divinity OS.

The issue appears only in specific games, like frame stutter in BF4 while the player in ARMA 3 is unaffected, indicating it's game-dependent.:

A few titles suit me well while others fall flat. Tomb Raider ran exceptionally smoothly, especially on the Ultra setting with over 100 frames per second. Far Cry 4 left a strong negative impression, making this one similarly disappointing.

FC4 seems poorly optimized; it works fine on any system, even with an R9 295X.
