I recently purchased a new PC and encountered a bluescreen when under heavy load (DPC Watchdog Violation). Based on my research, it might relate to my GPU or SSD. I haven’t found a solution yet, but I noticed a small flashing red light on the motherboard. It could possibly be connected to my issue. My system specs are: Windows 10 x64, originally installed on an unactivated version from a previous laptop (files copied over). All other hardware is brand new except for the GPU and SATA SSD. The OS was installed on the old laptop about 5-6 years ago before moving it to this PC, but less than a month ago. CPU: Ryzen 5 7600, GPU: RTX 3080 (used HP OEM), motherboard: ASUS B650-Prime, PSU: Gigabyte UD850GM (850W). The light is located above the top PCIe slot, under the SSD heatsink. It flashes intermittently, making it hard to determine if it signals a problem or normal operation. If anyone has insights, I’d really appreciate it!

Here are the codes for the light on the motherboard as well. These issues might stem from very old drivers.

Restart the BIOS update would be the initial action. Maintain memory settings at their standard or non-expo configurations until the issue is fixed. A complete Windows reinstall might also be necessary if the previous version encounters difficulties.

I think I resolved the issue but the details aren't clear. I attempted without using expo, but it still crashed. Disabled the resizable bar and it didn’t stop the crashes. Switched my BIOS from the default "normal" setting to high-performance mode; suddenly it worked or at least didn’t fail during testing. It seems like a fix is working everywhere!
