Immediately after setting up, I realized I had made an error by connecting my peripherals to the incorrect ports. This happened because I plugged in my keyboard into the Q-flash button and pressed it while also using the port for another device. Almost instantly, the keyboard activated, followed by a pop and a fizzing sound, and then I detected smoke. Although the keyboard now works properly, my PC boots more slowly than usual. I haven’t checked the port for damage, but based on the sounds and smells, it seems likely the board is affected. My options are either troubleshoot the boot process or replace the motherboard. What do you think?

It seems the motherboard may have aged a bit, but it’s still functioning.
