I purchased the G.Skill Flare X series (3200MHz 14-14-14-34) a while back for my Ryzen 1700. Now I own a 5800X3D and keep using the same RAM. Is there an upgrade to RAM that would be better than the Flare? The clock speed is really important, and I’ve heard 3200MHz is ideal with Ryzen. Since I also have an AMD RX6900XT, I’d prefer the top performance possible. Is the Flare still the best option?

The 5800X3D prioritizes speed over memory capacity. Ideally, a 3800MHz tight configuration would be optimal, but it’s not worth the investment. Since the board is robust, it can handle significant overclocks. Reaching 3800MHz CL16-16-16-24 at 1.5V should be feasible with minor adjustments if you aim for a slight performance boost.

This kit stands out among others. It handles 4000mhz reliably and quickly. Higher-rated dies would be similar in quality but at a higher frequency. It should effortlessly support 4000mhz CL-16 1.40v vDimm. Overall, it's the top choice.

I have three copies; this device runs smoothly with plenty of memory. If you no longer need it, someone here might be willing to remove it from your possession.
