They fixed the RAM on other DDR4 boards but not this one. I’m bringing it back now, thanks for the advice—though I might have gotten away with buying more if I hadn’t shared this.
Stupid question but did you pull the levers down? Are the sticks oriented the right way?
These mistakes happen when you push things into positions that don’t fit upside down.
RAM is designed with a specific orientation, allowing it to fit only in one direction. There’s a notch on the side that matches the slot on the motherboard, and this notch aligns with a bump inside the slot. This "key" line should be aligned properly. Before inserting, ensure you first release the clips at the bottom and top of the slot. Once you push the RAM in, it will secure itself automatically. As mentioned before, take care to open the clips at both ends of the slot first.
