Fixing stuttering issues within games.
Fixing stuttering issues within games.
Hello everyone, currently I’m working to accumulate funds for a new computer. My previous project failed recently due to financial constraints. I'm still engaged in combat within War Thunder using my Maximus V Gene Z77 CPU with an i7-3770K processor, 32GB of RAM at 1600MHz speed and a 1060 GPU with 6GB of memory, along with a 500GB EVO SSD. In the BIOS, the settings are configured for automatic operation—the CPU runs at 3900MHz, and the RAM is set to XMP profile. A friend suggested that an issue with Windows 7 might be responsible, so I upgraded from 7 to 10; however, the stuttering in games persists, nearly identical to before. I’ve also replaced my water cooler with Windows 10. I've attempted various NVIDIA drivers, uninstalled numerous programs and software, and experimented for about two to three weeks without success. My only remaining option is to disassemble and reapply thermal paste to the GPU, but it consistently stays below 53°C during gameplay. Furthermore, I have 350GB of free space on my SSD, which is a 2-year-old drive currently assessed as “Good,” despite concerns about its potential failure. Any advice or information would be greatly valued. Thank you!
Hello everyone,
Following a revised setup with proper Razer software and hardware installation, everything is now functioning correctly. However, I must also note that certain USB ports are malfunctioning and have been disabled; unfortunately, the software required two installations to be set up properly.
Thank you all for your assistance and support! 😍
Is your graphics card temperature tracked constantly during gameplay?
Please review this discussion board. It details extensive troubleshooting for the identical issue with that game, and the resolution involved using an external frame rate limiter. He described the interruption as minor stuttering.

Hello, and thank you for your response. I’ve confirmed that my afterburner is installed and my graphics card doesn't exceed 55°C at its maximum temperature. My motherboard reads between 67°C-69°C, while my CPU sits at 57°C. I’m considering whether it might be an issue with my SSD, power supply, or thermal paste on the GPU – I’m unsure.
Greetings, and thanks. The device model is EMT03B6Q, with firmware version 850. See https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/23638440 for more details.
typically, my Razer software or sound drivers cause issues with previous War Thunder updates; I’ve encountered comparable problems before and resolved them. currently, every route I try seems to be blocked.
The speed of your solid-state drive appears to be connected to the Asmedia ports (the two lower red ones), as performance is approximately 140MBps slower when using the Intel ports (the central red ones). While this may not be the primary cause of any lag, it’s a potential factor. Because your userbenchmark doesn't evaluate hard drives, I cannot assess how that element might influence your applications. I’m operating on the assumption that you have a standard setup: installing games primarily on a hard drive with only a few selected titles stored on the SSD. If your older, low-speed, or failing hard drive is contributing to stuttering within games due to data streaming issues, relocating the SSD to the Intel ports might resolve the problem.
Hello, I’ve disconnected the hard drive; it works to reconnect, but I don't require it anymore, and an additional SSD isn’t necessary either. However, I won’t utilize them until I can find a way to improve my PC’s performance.
I’ve connected the cable into the top red port as you instructed.
Unfortunately, the game is experiencing even more stuttering, leading me to suspect the graphics card? Frame rates decrease during these stutters when they previously didn't, suggesting my computer is aging and becoming erratic like myself – haha! Do you have any further suggestions? The benchmark results are better, I believe!
