I discovered what was affecting BF1's performance and I wanted to pass along the solution. It’s a straightforward fix. First, go into your Documents folder and locate the Battlefield 1 directory, then move to the settings folder—usually found under - C:\Users\*******\Documents\Battlefield 1\settings. Next, open the file called PROFSAVE_profile using any text editor like Notepad or Notepad++. Look for the DX12 setting; it should read GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1. Change that number to 0 and save the changes. Restart BF1 and enable all settings to Ultra, ensuring your card can handle it. This should give you smooth gameplay without stutters. I noticed the DX12 option wasn’t visible in the menu, which is unusual since it should be off by default. The issue was resolved by disabling it, which seems counterintuitive given the performance boost. For my part, I achieved 60fps at Ultra with no dips, though I haven’t tested Vsync yet. Hope this helps others too!
