This is my initial computer build – it’s my first time assembling one.
My components are: a Ryzen 3 1200 processor, a Radeon RX 580 with 8GB of VRAM, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM at 3000MHz, an ASUS Prime B450M-A Micro ATX motherboard, a 240GB Gigabyte 2.5” SSD for storage, a Thermaltake 550W power supply, and an MSI Optix G24 75Hz monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 and FreeSync support.
In Rainbow Six Siege, I consistently encounter significant pauses when moving around, particularly at higher speeds. My system hasn't been overclocked.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive displays a different behavior – other players experience stuttering while I’m moving, but I don't show any similar issues.
I’ve utilized MSI Afterburner (RivaTuner) to examine my frame times, revealing sudden jumps. However, the Heaven benchmark runs smoothly, likely due to its lack of screen movement.
Reducing graphics settings doesn't resolve the problem. Switching to 60Hz within the games themselves also has no effect. Neither playing in borderless nor full screen mode changes the stuttering behavior. I’m uncertain about how to resolve this issue; it may stem from a mistake during the PC assembly process or perhaps a missing installation.
I resolved the issue! I’m unclear on the exact process, but I adjusted my power settings to a balanced mode, installed a Windows update (a major version upgrade), and experimented with MSI Afterburner earlier—that didn't help. However, after restarting, it’s working again. Perhaps one of those actions or the restart following my Afterburner testing was the solution!

Revision: My processor’s frequency ought to read 1350MHz, mirroring what's observed in Counter-Strike; I suspect a faulty network cable is the source of this problem. In Siege, it's fixed at 300MHz, consuming significantly less energy – can I resolve this limitation? My graphics card’s clock and memory are restricted to 300MHz, yet it functions correctly within Minecraft and Siege, but not Counter-Strike.
I resolved the issue! I’m unclear on the method, but altering my power settings to a balanced mode, installing a Windows update (specifically a feature update), and experimenting with MSI Afterburner before hand didn’t solve it. However, after restarting, the problem is now resolved. It seems either one of those steps or the restart following Afterburner’s adjustments was the cause of the fix.
